Another Bored Ape Is Mistakenly Sold, Pranksy Tweets "There Needs To Be Some Further Protection"

Early Wednesday morning, another Bored Ape sold at a 99.9% discount, and one famous NFT Collector is Speaking out.

“There needs to be some further protection for these sort of scam bids,” @PranksyNFT tweeted. “Argument of course is doing that is too centralized any thoughts @opensea?”

Opensea did not appear to answer Pranksy at the time of this articles publication. The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Pranksy but did not immediately hear back.

The Bored Ape sale that Pranksy was referring to in his tweet was Bored Ape #6874 that sold for 2.75 USDC. Ironically, Bored Ape #6874 is a crying eye ape and many in the Bored Ape community are crying after seeing another accidental sale.

“Every ape and NFT collector feels this pain,” @crypt0Jacked tweeted.

As The Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Bored Ape Yacht Club member StonedAbu mistakenly sold one of his apes yesterday for $1.80 USDC. Abu told the gazette that he mistook the usdc offer for an Eth offer.

“I was honestly more upset at myself than at the scammer,” Abu said. “Stupid mistake caused by inexperience but also confused at how the platform would let that type of thing happen.”
