As 2023 comes to an end, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and charity, Orangutan Outreach, reminded Apes that today is their last day to help primates with a tax-deductible donation, and that they accept crypto!
Before BAYC members log off and head out for a boring New Year’s eve around the swamp, Orangutan Outreach, a non-profit whose mission is to save the critically endangered orangutans and protect their rainforest homes, reminded everyone that there’s still time to save an Ape in 2023 and get a tax write-off.
“Huge thanks to everyone who's made a donation to the orangutans,” Orangutan Outreach tweeted from its Redapes account,. “For the rest of y'all, there's still time to make a tax-deductible contribution for 2023. The orangutans aren't picky. They accept fruit, cash, stocks, crypto, DAF.”
Yuga Labs and the BAYC has been supporting the Orangutan Outreach since the bored beginning!
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC donated $500,000 USD to Orangutan Outreach from the club’s Bored Ape Kennel Club sales back in July and August of 2021.
Since then, Orangutan Outreach has used the company’s Bored Ape, Bored Julius, to raise money for its Bored in Borneo Initiative, whose goal is to fund the long-term care of orphaned and displaced baby orangutans that have been impacted by deforestation in Borneo and Sumatra.
