The 520 item drop quickly sold out in 6 minutes, according to the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s official Twitter account.
The drop went smoothly compared to other drops in the non-fungible token community, based on post drop Twitter chatter.
After the merchandise drop, some apes went to eBay with their newly acquired merch and flipped the items for insane profit.
So far, a red and a black BAYC hat have sold for $4,800 and $3,500 respectively. Also, A BAYC long sleeve has sold for $7,500, according to eBay Best offer information.
This merchandise drop seems to have had an impact on the price of Bored Apes, as the floor price on Open sea has moved to over .59 Ethereum and the total ape owners is now over 3,300.
There is no word on another merchandise drop at the time of this articles publication. But the Bored Ape Yacht Club has announced there will be a “members only surprise” next week.
