Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Deepak Thapliyal Bought Pranky's Gold Fur Ape For 420.69 ETH

Updated: Feb 8, 2022

Crypto whale and Bored Ape Yacht Club member, Deepak Thapliyal, made waves at the BAYC Saturday evening, after sweeping the bored ape floor, picking up a hip-hop ape and purchasing a gold fur primate.

It was a quiet day at the BAYC, especially compared to the crypto market at large, until Thapliyal decided to sweep the BAYC floor; picking up three bored apes.

“gm,” Thapliyal tweeted. “Just grabbed some floor apes because #WhyNot #69thFloor #BAYC Happy Sunday.”

Thapliyal spent a total of 207.6 Eth or $664,000 USD and moved the BAYC floor price to 70 Eth overall.

After he swept the floor, the notable BAYC collector purchased a hip-hop bored ape for 169.42 Eth or $542,000 USD.

Spending over a million dollars would be a good enough gm for most people, but Thapliyal is not most people.

After sweeping the floor and purchasing a hip-hop bored ape, Thapliyal then went for gold and picked up Pranksy’s solid gold fur ape. Thapliyal purchased Bored Ape #1837 for 420.69 Eth or $1,346,000 USD.

Bored Ape #1837 is a six-trait golf fur ape with crazy eyes, a short mohawk and a wool turtleneck. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #1837 is the 246th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

“Thanks @pranksy, Thapliyal tweeted after the purchase. “He will be in good company with the new gang. #BAYC #GOLDENChild

Big purchases are nothing new for Thapliyal, he’s being making three- and four-digit ETH deals since joining the club in early December.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Thapliyal made an insane purchase on January 3rd, picking up a mega mutant serum for 1542.069 Eth or $5,859,000 USD.

“After my purchase of a Bored Ape, I realized that this #BAYC movement is real, “Thapliyal tweeted after purchasing the potent serum. “We are at an intersection of history being made and we can choose to ignore it and go one way or fully embrace it and go the other way. I chose the red pill ser.”
