Cameron Winklevoss Aped Into The Bored Ape Yacht Club

Cameron Winklevoss is not having a boring weekend after he decided to ape into the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

“I'm feeling kinda bored tonight...just put in a bid of $140,000 for a @BoredApeYC Bored Ape on @niftygateway— deposit your Apes and hit me!, Winklevoss tweeted late Friday evening.

Winklevoss’ blanket $140,000 USD offer on all Bored apes is equal to roughly 47.6 ETH at the time of this articles publication. Winklevoss’ offer is quite generous given the current Opensea BAYC floor is 39 ETH or 115,000 USD.

For those apes interested in taking up Winklevoss on his offer, they must move their ape Nifty Gateway in order to accept the $140,000 offer.

Nifty Gateway is a digital art online auction platform for non-fungible token art that the Winklevoss twins own. Nifty Gateway is a part of the twins larger parent company Gemini, according to Wikipedia.

Earlier today, Winklevoss gave an update on his apeing, tweeting a photo of Bored Ape #5703. “Bingo,” he tweeted. “One down, more to go... just placed another bid!”

Bored Ape #5703 is a six trait white fur ape with a leather jacket, a sea captains hat and bloodshot eyes. Winklevoss purchased Bored Ape #5703 for $140,000 USD.

After Winklevoss’ purchase, Bored Ape #5703 was transferred into a wallet titled, “nifty-gateway-omnibus”. Based on the wallets recent activity, it appears Winklevoss has purchased more than just one bored ape.

At the time of this articles publication, the wallet holds, eight bored apes, 11 mutant apes and one Bored Ape Kennel Club dog that matches the serial number of the ape he tweeted about.

Apes in the BAYC are very excited to have a Winklevoss in the club and have been asking him all day to update his twitter profile photo to an ape.

“Gotta pfp that and feel the BAYC love man,” BAYC member DFarmer tweeted.
