Chain CEO Deepak Thapliyal Completed His Space Ape Set

Bored Ape Yacht Club member and CEO of Chain, Deepak Thapliyal went on a deep space mission to complete his astronaut ape set today.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Thapliyal previously purchased Bored Ape #9452 for 347 Eth or 1.42 million USD.

Bored Ape #9452 is a six-trait robot fur ape wearing a space suit with laser eyes, a beanie and a bored pipe mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #9452 is the 258th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

Thapliyal purchased Bored Ape #9452 from BAYC member John Knopf back in December. Today, Thapliyal purchased Bored Ape #9452’s corresponding M1 and M2 mutants from Knopf for 255 Eth or 742,000 USD.

“I minted my space ape 8 months ago,” Knopf tweeted after the sale. “The entire set just now officially SOLD to @dt_chainfor 347 ETH for the Space Ape and 225 for the mutants with a total of 572 ETH for the complete set. Huge congrats to @dt_chain! Enjoy this collection! Thanks @BoredApeYC!!!”

After the sale, Knopf tweeted his goodbyes to his astronaut primates and thanked the BAYC for changing his life.

“GOODBYE OLD FRIENDS ,” he tweeted. “Thanks for providing the financial freedom to create my art however I want for the rest of my life.”

Since Thapliyal’s initial purchase of Bored Ape #9452 on December 12th, the CEO has gotten increasingly bullish on the BAYC and the club’s cultural significance going forward.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Thapliyal purchased one of the three remaining Mega Mutant serums for 1542.69 Eth on January 2nd . Six days later, Thapliyal purchased a gold fur ape for 420.69 Eth.
