DOO-KEY DASH: Here's How Doo-Key Dashers Scores Will Be Calculated

As Sewer Pass holders prepare to make their way into the club’s sewage system, the Bored Ape Yacht Club released new information about the Doo-Key Dash’s scoring system!

On Wednesday the BAYC updated the FAQ Page for the highly anticipated Doo-Key Dash to further explain how scores will be calculated.

“Your score is determined by a number of factors, including how long you survive your run, types of fragments you pick up along the way, and the obstacles you destroy,” the BAYC wrote. “Here’s a breakdown of the fragment types and point values: Common = 300, Uncommon = 500, Rare = 1000, Epic = 1500, Legendary = 2000.”

Further, the BAYC also announced that the different Sewer Pass Tiers will determine the “Bonuses” that Sewer Pass holders receive during each play.

“The longer you last in the sewer, and the more fragments you collect (and rarer those fragments are), the more points you rack up, the club explained. “Different tier Sewer Passes will add different point bonuses to your final score. Here’s the breakdown: Tier 4 = 30% bonus, Tier 3 = 20% bonus, Tier 2 = 10% bonus, Tier 1 = no bonus.”

The club also announced that Sewer Pass holders that purchase a “Powershart Pack” for 2 $Ape will receive a 15% bonus on top of their Sewer Pass Tier bonus.

“The Powershart Pack’s Chart Topper booster adds 15% to your tier bonus,” the BAYC wrote. “Your total points bonus — the combination of your tier bonus and your Powershart Pack bonus — becomes the following: Tier 4 = 45% total bonus, Tier 3 = 35% total bonus, Tier 2 = 25% total bonus, Tier 1 = 15% total bonus.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer Spencer Tucker recently tweeted that Sewer Passes Tiers make a “world of difference” not only in the Doo-Key Dash but also in upcoming activations!

“@boredape93 Tiers make a world of difference, they give you the best starting position, but it's possible ultra-skill can give you the leg on the leaderboard,” Tucker tweeted on January 11th. “That said, tier also matters for future activations.”

The BAYC is set to open the Sewers tomorrow and Doo-Key Dashers will have until February 8th to play the game.
