ELECTION 2022: See What BoredApeG Had To Say After Winning A Seat On The Special Council
After an intense eight-week election process, the ApeCoin DAO has selected three new DAO contributors to be on the Special Council in January 2023.
The ApeCoin Special Council election went down to the wire last night and the community elected BoredApeG, Veratheape, and Gerry to the DAO’s Special Council.
Following the election, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to the Special Council Elect member BoredApeG for comment on his win and what’s next for him.
“I am forever grateful to the ApeCoin community,” BoredApeG told the Gazette. “I was just a small ape in a large forest, but with big dreams to operationalize our DAO. Thank you to everyone for entrusting me with the opportunity to serve you! What’s next? Connecting with our fellow Special Council members to get aligned on our immediate plans together. I’m sure you’ll hear from us in no time. 2023 is our year ApeCoin family! Much love.”
BoredApeG, along with Gerry and Veratheape, will begin their Special Council terms on January 1st, 2023, and they will remain on the board for one year.
Prior to his victory, the Bored Ape Gazette asked BoredApeG what his top priority would be if elected. At the time, BoredapeG told the Gazette that navigating the current situation with the Cartan Group and decentralizing the DAO was on the top of list.
“The immediate priority is successfully navigating the potential replacement of Cartan (RFP in January 2023) and the further decentralization of the Administrator’s work,” he said. “I expect that showing the strength of our Special Council team to work with the community, by finding success through this immediate priority, will set the tone for the rest of the year. It is my hope through this that we will collectively accomplish decentralizing all tasks that are reasonable to not be left with Cayman Island vendors.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to cover the 2022 Special Council election and will keep you informed on all things $Ape! Stay tuned for updates!
