Faraway Gaming Studio Acquired The Legends Of The Mara And HV-MTL Collections From Yuga Labs. Here's What We Know Is Coming Up For The Maras& Mechs!

Faraway Gaming Studios leveled up its intellectual property today after acquiring the HV-MTL and Mara collections from Yuga Labs, and the company has big plans for its new gaming assets!

A year after MTLs first emerged through the rift and nine months after Voyagers began nesting their Maras on Otherdeeds, Faraway Gaming Studios, which has been working closely with Yuga Labs on Dookey Dash Unclogged, announced that it had acquired LOTM and HVs from Yuga Labs.

“Thrilled to welcome HV-MTL and Legends of the Mara into the @farawaygg Ecosystem,” Faraway Co-Founder Alex Paley tweeted after the acquisition. “And just as excited to officially welcome @EverydayZukini to the Faraway family. We are very thankful to @CryptoGarga and the @yugalabs team for trusting us as the next stewards of this IP and are pumped about the opportunity for continued interoperability between these brands, Otherside, and the rest of the Yuga and Faraway ecosystems. Now back to work.”

At this time, we do not know everything that Faraway has planned for HVs and Maras following today’s acquisition, but we do know that the company is instituting a new point system for each collection and that holders will be able to earn points via activations like Dookey Dash Unclogged. Further, we know that Maras will still be able to take part in the Kodamara Fusion process beginning tomorrow!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs had teased many more things for the HVs and Maras including the HVs inclusion in a mobile first game that Garga announced at ApeFest 2023, and a Legends of the Mara Mobile game that Yuga Labs and Faraway announced was coming in the second half of 2024.

Following Faraway's acquisition of HVs and Maras, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to the company's new Chief Product Officer, Spencer Tucker, regarding HVs' EV02 forms and the mobile-first game. He mentioned that more details are coming soon.

"That’s something we will be covering in the near future, but some of the details are still getting dialed. HVs are still going to evo2, the other stuff we will get into as we get the coms dialed," he explained.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow all things Faraway and Yuga Labs and will let you know what’s next for HVs and Maras as more information becomes available. Stay tuned for updates!
