FIRST FORGE: The Bored Ape Yacht Club's HV-MTL Forge Started Today. Here's What You Need To Know:

Lo-fi beats, petting, building, and a surprising amount of oil shit; the Bored Ape Yacht club’s HV-MTL Forge is certainly a vibe!

On Thursday, season one of the BAYC’s highly anticipated Forge launched and players aped into the game and began building their HV-Homes alongside their HV-MTL Mechs!

“Forge on ahead,” the BAYC tweeted this afternoon. “HV-MTL Forge is now live at https://forge.hv-mtl.com.”

Once inside the game, players were greeted by Gary the dog Prophet who quickly reminded them what the Forge is all about.

“Help your little buddy unlock its next evolution by building an amazing Forge,” Gary explained. “Oh, and don’t forget, make sure you keep your HV happy!”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, players will be able to earn AMPs, the currency needed to upgrade their Mechs from its EV01 evolution to its Evo2 evolution, by building out their HV-Homes and showing off their Forges on social media. Players will need to earn at least three AMPs to unlock the next evolution of their HVs, according to the BAYC’s Forge guide.

As players build with their HV-Homes alongside their HV-MTLs, they will need to choose how to spend their energy and when to vote on other players Forges. “The game is all about choices,” Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer Spencer Tucker explained on a Twitter Space yesterday.

The first season of the Forge will last from now until July 20th and will be followed by five more Forge seasons that last three weeks each, according to Yuga Labs’ gaming guide.
