Garga Is Planning To Host An Otherside Townhall In The Metaverse Next Week. Here's What You Need To Know:

Bored Ape Yacht Club members and Voyagers will be heading back to Otherside soon for a first-of-its-kind town hall meeting with Garga.

On Tuesday, hundreds of BAYC members gathered in the club’s Discord channel for a very special Bored Meeting that doubled as an anniversary party, celebrating an insane three years around the swamp.

During that time, Garga was asked about Otherside, and he teased that the community will be heading their soon for a metaverse meeting.

“I want to have a townhall next week to get into everything Otherside." Garga said. “I’m actually trying to do that in Otherside with voice and text chats set up properly. There’s no point in having a townhall about the metaverse outside the metaverse. So stay tuned.”

At this time, we do not know what day this meeting will happen, but we do know that Garga is working to book the cloud streaming for the event.

“We’re going to do it soon,” he said. “And you’re going to hear a whole lot more about Otherside in that meeting.”

 

While we do not yet know when this meeting will take place, we do know that Yuga Labs has been planning to bring Apes and Voyagers to the persistent metaverse on a more regular basis over the next year.

“The goal here is to have the platform where we are able to get people in more regularly without everything being a big event," Yuga Labs’ Otherside General Manager Eric Reid said on a March 1st Space following the company’s Apes Come Home event. "And throughout the year we are going to be moving more and more in the direction where the events may not be as big, but they are more regular until ultimately you are able to hop on anytime to do things that we drop in there for you or that people have created for you to experience. I think you are going to see a move towards that by the end of the year.”
