The ApeCoin DAO’s second election season is in full swing and while many $Ape holders know every nominee’s positions and what they plan to do if elected, not everyone knows the candidates on a personal level!
In an effort to get to know who is running for $Ape Office, the Bored Ape Gazette recently sent out a nine-item questionnaire to each candidate to find out more about their Web3 journey to get to know the person behind the keyboard!
One of those candidates is Buuvei who is running for a Steward position on the ApeCoin DAO’s newly formed Governance Working Group.
“I really do hope you vote for me. I never forget the people that supported me from the start, and my early collectors will tell you that,” Buuvei said when asked why the community should elect him. “One day, I will be a leading figure in the space, and I hope that journey starts with the Governance Working group, an area where I am highly passionate and have great interest to learn, which is proven by my Corporate Governance training & certificate I received in 2022.”

1.What’s your favorite web3 memory?
“In the early days in March 2021 when everybody was on Clubhouse to talk NFTs, learn, and onboard artists. At that time my first art sold, I was super excited, and I remember buying back art from that collector in the future to thank him, and we actually met in real life. After that I supported artists to give them their first sale, because that feeling is motivating and unforgettable.”
2. When was the first time you got rug pulled?
“Fullsend Metacard. The first time I bought an NFT from an influencer. Lesson learned.”
3. What was your best trade and worst crypto trade?
“When everybody supported me on my first pixel art collection Pixel Penguins NFT back in March, 2021. There were 100 of them and started at 0.01, always the best memory to look back on those https://opensea.io/collection/pixelpenguinsnft… Worst could be buying
@metacard dt 2.2 and now at 0.2 due to no activity in 2023”
4. What was your first job and what was your most recent job?
First Job: project assistant

“I am 2x NFT NYC speaker.”
8. Do you have anything else you’d like the community to know about you before they vote?
“If you want to hold someone accountable, it is not too late to change your vote from a person you "like" to someone who will put in the work for the better of the community and the stakeholders.”
9. Last question what’s the first word that comes to mind when I say ApeCoin?
"Global DAO."
The window to vote in the ApeCoin DAO's first round of Special Council and Governance Working Group Steward elections is currently open and $Ape holders have until June 21st to cast their coins for their preferred nominees.
After the first round of voting, the top five vote getting nominees will move on to the second round of voting and officially become candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from June 22nd to 28th, during which the community will elect two Special Council members and two Working Group Stewards.
