INSANE: The Mutant Hounds Project Said It Wants To Create The "Middle Earth Of Web3"

As the Mutant Cartel prepares to release the hounds next week, the project took to Twitter and said its goal is to create the “Middle Earth of web3 with you, and without borders. “

In a nine-part Twitter thread, the Mutant Hounds gave the community a quick rundown of project’s mint and how the project sees itself.

In the thread, the Mutant Hound’s project revealed that there will be 9,975 Mutant Hounds and 25 Mega Mutant Hounds for a total of 10,000 insane pups.

Further, the Mutant Hounds mint will be a two-part process. The first part will be a staggered minting for a Mutant Hound Collar. During this first part, Genesis Oath holders, MAYC, BAYC, BAKC, and the public will each have 24 hours to mint a collar. The second part of the Mutant Hounds mint will be a burning process where holders will burn their collars for an insane dog.

Genesis Oath holders will pay .11 Eth for their collars while everyone else will pay .25 Eth or the equivalent for .25 Eth in ApeCoin.

In closing, the Mutant Hounds project explained that it is not another PFP project and that its goal is to add to the lore of the Yuga Labs ecosystem.

“The Mutant Hounds are part of a saga of lore-driven NFTs that push the frontier of decentralized and participatory storytelling,” the project explained. “Hounds will be part of an ever-expanding universe and will be relevant to your favorite worlds - Otherside being an important focus. Characters, factions, events, and the ability to both feature and guide the course of the narrative itself. We want to create the Middle Earth of web3 with you, and without borders.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Mutant Hounds project and will let you know more about the story behind these insane hounds as it develops!
