An insane mutant sale went down at the Bored Ape Yacht Club today.

BAYC member Noxious purchased Mutant Ape #2878 from BAYC member Griffden for 45 ETH or $144,000 USD.

Mutant Ape #2878 is a six trait M1 trippy fur mutant ape with blue beam eyes, a gold hoop earring and a toga. Based on these traits, Mutant Ape #2878 is the 2908th most rare mutant, according to Rarity Tools.

Following the sale Mutant Ape #2878’s previous owner Griffden took to Twitter to say goodbye to the insane mutant. “This morning we say so long to Mutant #2878,” he tweeted. “You served me well fren.”

As many congraduatled Griffden on the sale, fellow M1 trippy fur mutant ape owners welcomed Noxious to the trippy tribe. “Love to see some new trippy fam beautiful mutant about as top shelf as they come,” BAYC member gmKAM.eth tweeted.

After the sale, many BAYC members commented that M1 trippy fur mutant apes may be undervalued. “M1 trippy is under-valued,” BAYC member and M1 trippy fur owner wwweb3.eth tweeted.

At the time of this article’s publication, the M1 Trippy fur floor was 33.75 Eth. Currently, the floor price for a mutant ape is 26.24 Eth.
