Linstro Is Running For Marketing& Comms Working Group Steward. Find Out Why He Deserves Your Vote:

After a 20-year career of assisting brands with the ‘art and science’ of marketing and communications, ApeCoin DAO Contributor Linstro.Eth wants to bring his talents to the Yugaverse as one of the ApeCoin DAO’s first Marketing and Communications Working Group Stewards!


After a month of Twitter Spaces, interviews, and politicking, it’s time for the $Ape community to cast their votes for the two $Apes they want to represent them as Stewards on the DAO’s newly created Marketing and Communications Working Group.


For those who are unfamiliar with this role, ApeCoin DAO Contributor and creator of the MarComms Working Group, SSP, wrote that the group’s mandate was to “propose a consistent and compelling brand strategy and identity for the ApeCoin DAO, propose and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies, and help establish a strong presence through effective global communication efforts in order to onboard more users into the DAO.”


With that in mind, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Linstro.Eth and asked him why he’s the right $Ape for the job. Check out the full interview below:


1. In a sentence or two can you sum up your crypto journey and how you got into Web3?


“A friend who started his journey in 2013 brought me in and I deep dived when BTC was still under $10K.  Then dove head first into the last NFT cycle, and have been showing up everyday to learn, experiment, and grow.”


 2. Why should the community pick you to be its Marketing and comms working group steward?


“One word: experience.  I’ve been on the branding and marketing journey for over 2 decades, so I’ve seen my fair share of brands, businesses, and hurdles.  I have a methodology for how I help clients, accounts, and even my own brands grow given their respective ecosystems.  If given the chance, I plan to apply my professionalism to ApeCoin DAO, and help develop the marketing & communications strategy in an efficient and effective manner.”


3. If elected, what do you hope to accomplish in your first month?


“Simple: define and plan.  Defining what a brand is, what are its core values, what are our brand pillars, is the key to creating consistent and sustainable messaging.  We want consistency across ALL touchpoints, no compromises.  A great brand is embodied by the business, or in this case the DAO.  We will achieve that.  This not only allows the people who are already a part of our community to wrap their head around everything the brand has to offer, but also brings in newcomers who are interested.  Once the foundation is set, we plan and execute.  Planning and execution can get quite formulaic, which is why I believe the best marketers in the world separate themselves from the rest of the field by leveraging their experience and network.  A plan is very black & white, but the right creative strategist will bring it to life in full 4K color.  Not only does this pertain to the messaging and communications, but also in terms of unique partnerships driven by years of partnership experience.”


4. Why should people outside the Yugaverse be interested in $Ape?


“Ape is THE coin for all things culture, Yuga,and fun.  Ape is also severely undervalued.  I will help change that.  Brick by brick.”


5. What is your goal as marketing and comms Steward? Why should you, and why do you want to, market $Ape?


“As I stated above, it is a symbol that represents what could be and should be for our space.  It encapsulates the feeling of fun and dreams.  Ape is an icon and meme when it comes to crypto, NFTs, technology, nerds, geeks, degens, and all things that we enjoy about our space, all things that represent the proverbial “us.”  It is also severely undervalued, which means there’s a huge opportunity for us to grow.”


6. Of the other candidates, who would you like to be Marketing and comms steward with and why?


“I have a crazy idea and believe that I can find a way for everyone who is extremely committed, talented, and passionate to be involved - within reason.  I leave it at that and will share more if I am elected.”


7. Who’s someone who inspires you and why?


“Gordon Goner.  I’m inspired by someone who not only is a part of an insane vision, a dreamer, but also someone who is battling something deeply personal.  He makes the dream “human”, and that to me is something special in a technologically driven world.”


8. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?


“I’m not running for homecoming king, I’d like my resume to speak for itself, and bring a sense of professionalism to everything that is ApeCoin.”
