MEET THE CANDIDATE: Evil Is Running For Working Group Steward

ApeCoin DAO contributor and nominee for Working Group Steward, Evil is running for office so he can make it easier for builders to get funding and create the $Ape ecosystem.

The $Ape community is in the middle of the ApeCoin DAO’s second election season and the DAO is voting to fill two Steward positions in its newly formed Governance Working Group.

These two Working Group Steward’s will be responsible for managing their Working Group Multisig, operational tasks, maintaining documents, organizing and approving initiatives, communicating with the Ape Foundation and DAO Secretary, approving budgets, executing their Working Group Charters, among other things, according to the DAO.

Among the candidates vying for a Working Group Steward position is ApeCoin DAO contributor Evil AKA RageOfPotato.

"I’m Evil, an artist, mentor and curator from India," Evil wrote on his ApeCoin Candidate page. "I’m passionate about creating an open environment for community members and act as a bridge between the same and Ape Foundation."

To find out more about Evil and why he is the right $Ape for the job, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to him for an interview. Check it out below:

1.How did you get into the ApeCoin DAO?

“I knew about the DAO for quite some time but wasn’t getting the time to explore it, last October of 2022, I finally decided to jump onto forums and starts exploring around it.”

2. In a sentence or two, why should the community vote for you?

“I'm an active member of the community and have done my best to spread the culture around ApeCoin. Onboarded new members, guided and provided necessary support to people who were new here.”

3. If elected, you’ll be one of the first three WG Stewards. How do you feel about that and what kind of foundation would you like to help set?

“My aim is to create the process of deploying funds to the community in an easy and efficient manner. Current method is through AIPs only which is a time consuming process + it might discourage people to proceed further. Creating a welcoming environment that is easy to go around and be a part of DAO is necessary. This is what I want to set up.”

4. Where do you see the WG framework a year from now?

“This is just the start for ApeCoin DAO, and a year ago people just thought that its only for Yuga's flagship NFTs but slowly people are realizing that its $Ape! It has the potential to be one of the primary currencies of web3 if the DAO is more accessible to people. WG will be more unique in every aspect from a year now because we've already evolved so much since the last.”

5. What would you like to accomplish as a WG Steward?

“Onboarding the DAO and funding ideas that aim to benefit the $ape in all aspect, be it product, tool, art, or culture. Basically, making the DAO a bit more accessible to a wider audience.”

6. What makes you different from the other candidates?

“My great history in web3 since 2020 where I've created a whole community of artist and creators, accomplishing things that I never would have thought of before; i.e Seeing my name in national newspapers twice, being interviewed on National TV and so much more! All of this thanks to web3 and NFTs. More can be read here.”

7. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“Only way to see how good you can be is to know how evil you could be. So....... VOTE FOR EVIL! :D”
