Moonpay Purchased Two More Bored Apes Tonight For 163.9 Eth or $442,000 USD.

Tonight, was anything but boring at the Bored Ape Yacht Club as Moonpay purchased two more bored apes.

Moonpay, a crypto payment company that has onboarded several celebrities into the BAYC, bought Bored Ape #9763 and Bored Ape #389 for 86.9 Eth and 77 Eth respectively.

Bored Ape #9763 is a six-trait gray fur ape with sunglasses and a baby’s bonnet, and Bored Ape #389 is a six-trait cream fur ape with a Hawaiian shirt and hypnotized eyes.

After tonight’s purchases, Moonpay now holds 15 bored apes, one mutant ape, two M2 mutant serums and one M1 Mutant serum, according to Opensea.

With all these recent ape purchases, BAYC members are wondering what Moonpay is planning and who the company will bring into the club next. “You ever gonna give us some names,” asked BAYC member DawsonDreery. ”I want some names.”

While Moonpay has not announced any names regarding who will join the club next, that has not stopped bored apes from speculating.

Moonpay made headlines weeks ago as BAYC members contemplated if the company could be bringing Elon Musk into the swamp.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, a photo of Elon Musk with the CEO of Moonpay, Ivan Soto-Wright, circulated around the BAYC in late February.

“Moonpay meeting with Elon Musk," BAYC member Willy Bullish tweeted along with a photo of Musk and Soto-Wright. “Is it finally happening?!?”

At the time, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Soto-Wright and asked him about the photo. Soto-Wright has not replied to our request.

While we do not know who Moonpay will onboard next, apes can assume that the company has a plan. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Moonpay has brought Jimmy Fallon, Paris Hilton, Lil Baby, DJ Khalid, among other notable celebrities into the club in recent months.
