One on the biggest stars in the National Basketball Association has aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Golden State Warriors Point Guard, Steph Curry, joined the BAYC Early Saturday morning. Curry made his presence at the club known after posting a selfie in the BAYC Discord at 3:15 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Curry’s ape is Bored Ape #7990. Bored Ape #7990 is a five trait blue fur ape with zombie eyes wearing a tweed suit. Curry paid 55 Eth or roughly $181,000 USD for his ape.

After the purchase, Curry soon updated his Twitter profile photo to Bored Ape #7990.

After Curry’s splash of a purchase, BAYC members welcome the two time MVP to the community. “Welcome to the fam @StephenCurry30!!!!,” BAYC member Justin Taylor tweeted.

Curry is the latest in a series of NBA players to ape in and join the BAYC. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, NBA players Josh Hart, Lamelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton are all BAYC members.

Curry has played 12 season in the NBA, winning three championships and two MVP awards.
