The Bored Ape Yacht Club is in for a treat as BAYC member and Happy Dad/ Nelk Boys President, John Shahidi, showed off the new matte packaging for his company’s BAYC inspired snack brand, Bored Jerky!
On Wednesday, Shahidi took to Twitter and shared a spicy photo of the new packaging for the snack brand that he and the Nelk Boys have been building.
“Spicy @boredjerky,”he tweeted along with a photo of the brand’s spicy flavored jerky. “New matted packaging for @BoredJerky showed up to the warehouse yesterday. We had to change from shiny bags thanks to feedback from holders. Therefore there is a delay in launch. We gotta do this proper so the delay will be a good thing in the long run.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Shahidi and the Nelk Boys first teased the idea of Bored Jerky on the Full Send Podcast in August 2022 during an interview with Bored Ape Yacht Club Founders, Gordon Goner and Garga.
“We have access to gas stations, convinces stores, grocery stores, what else can we do,” Shashidi said on the podcast as he showed the BAYC founders a bag of Bored Jerky. “So, then we’re like what else do people buy at gas stations, it’s a beef jerky!”
At the time of this article’s publication, Bored Jerky wil feature a spicy, an orginal, and a peppered flavor, according to the brand’s website.
Bored Jerky will be the Nelk Boys second BAYC inspired brand. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the popular Youtubers’ hard seltzer company, Happy Dad, has a banana flavored beverage featuring Bored Ape # 8928 on the can.
