New Orleans Pelicans Star Josh Hart Joins The BAYC

The Bored Ape Yacht Club has another pro basketball player member as New Orleans Pelicans star, Josh Hart joined early Monday morning.

At 1:20 a.m Eastern time, notable NFT collector Pranksy tweeted that he had just completed a deal with the NBA player.

“Done Deal,” Pransky tweeted. “ Lets wecole NBA star @Joshhart to the @BoredApeYC! In an Ape for ETH& signed Jersey& More deal!”

Minutes after Pranksy’s post, Hart changed his Twitter profile to his new ape and shouted out Pranksy.

“Shoutout to the big homie @PranksyNFT for hooking me up with my first @BoredApeYC,” Hart tweeted.

Hart purchased his Bored Ape from Pranksy for 2 ETH, according to the Opensea records.

The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to both Pranksy and Hart for comment on the deal but both did not get a reply by the time of this articles publication.

As news broke of Hart joining the BAYC, many Bored Apes sent out tweets welcoming him to the club.

“Welcome Bro,” @RichVanger tweeted. “Changed your profile pic to your zombie as well!!! Def part of the #zombiefam.”

Hart’s Ape is Bored Ape #4616. Bored Ape #4616 is a seven trait ape with zombie skin, wears a stuntman's jacket and heart glasses. Bored Ape #4616 also has a kazoo, according to Rarity Tools.
