The ApeCoin DAO’s fourth election season is set to begin next month, and the community is voting on an Ape Improvement Proposal this week that, if passed, would limit $Apes to running in only one race.
AIP-415 titled ‘Single Seat Nominees - A More Competitive Election Pool’ is a Process Proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Facilitator CryptoLogically AKA Chris.
“In the interest of concentrating the competitiveness of each election pool, this proposal would limit ApeCoin DAO election nominees to run for one single position per election cycle,” Chris wrote. “By ensuring that a nominee may only apply to run for a single position in a given election period, we would see greater selectivity by candidates as they opt for the position that plays to their greatest strengths. This has the effect of enriching the overall talent pool for each position, as well as reducing crucial administrative overhead.”
If AIP-415 is passed, $Apes will only be able to run for one position in this summer's 2024 election season.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO’s 2024 summer election season is set to begin on May 1st with 2 Special Council Members seats, 2 Governance Working Group Stewards seats, 1 Marketing & Communications WG Steward seat, 1 Metaverse WG Steward seat, and 2 Web 3 Development WG Stewards seats up for grabs!
The window to vote on AIP-415 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, May 1st, to cast their coins.
