ON THE BALLOT:This AIP Aims To Create A Site Where The Web3 Community Can 'Ape Inn' &Get To Business

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to create a one stop site where ApeCoin DAO contributors can “ape inn” and handle all their monkey business!

“AIP-243 titled ‘The Ape Inn - EthGlobal Project,’ is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and ApeCoin hackathon Eth Global winner, 0xWebMoss.

In his proposal, 0xWebMoss explained that Ape Inn will be a platform where everyone from across the web3 ecosystem can trade, stake, swap, and more.

“The core objective will be to add value to the greater web3 community and offer different use cases for ApeCoin,” he wrote. “Focus will be on establishing a reliable, trust worthy and easy to use application that will offer a range of services to web3 gaming and Metaverse fans, as well as Yuga Labs and ApeCoin communities.

Some of the features that Ape Inn will have are: ApeCoin staking that’s similar to Horizon Labs’ ApeStakeIo dashboard, ApeSwap that will have Ape liquidity pools in it, an NFT marketplace, and an Ape merch shop, according to his grant proposal.

In total, 0xWebMoss is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate 50,000 USD worth of $Ape to funding and creating this platform.

“The Ape Inn is currently in development, and has been a work in progress or WIP since the EthGlobal Hackathon ended in March 2023, he wrote. “The project still requires approximately 10 months to complete our MVP. Once the MVP has been built, the project will be presented to the ApeCoin DAO and community for beta testing. The application will be further refined based on all valued feedback. Once the MVP is completed, assistance from the ApeCoin DAO may again be requested to further develop additional features, integrations and build on more functionality as part of our Phase Two.”

The window to vote on AIP-243 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors will have until Wednesday, September 20th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
