ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Establish An ApeCoin Marketing& Comms Working Group

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to set up the initial framework for an ApeCoin DAO marketing and communications working group.

AIP-246 titled “Working Group Charter - Marketing & Communications,” is process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor SSP1111.

“TL;DR - ApeCoin DAO needs professional Marketing, PR & Communications,” SSP wrote. “This charter details what an initial infrastructure could/should entail, provides foundational branding support & IP usage guidelines, and creates an environment for the majority of initiatives to spring forth from the community. The goal of this proposal is to help establish the ApeCoin DAO Marketing and Communications Working Group.”

SSP went on to write that the marketing and communications working group would focus on: 1. Brand Strategy& Visual Identity, 2. Twitter& Discord guidelines and standard operating procedures, 3. Onboarding and Education, and 4. Community Led Marketing Activities.

AIP-246 would not cost the DAO anything because this AIP is about whether ApeCoin should have a marketing and communications working group. If passed, the marketing and communications working group will then elect three Stewards in July/August who will be responsible for drafting a budget for the working group. After these Stewards draft their budget, the community will have the opportunity to vote for or against it.

"This AIP serves as a general temperature check for incorporating this Working Group,” SSP explained. “The three elected Stewards will propose an initial budget 1-3 weeks after being onboarded.”

The window to vote on AIP-246 is currently open and $Apes have until next Wednesday, July 19th, to cast their coins on this proposal.
