ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Fund The DAM Show

There’s an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to fund a dam good show and help this media business on its way to sustainability!

AIP-214 titled “Sponsoring The DAM Show + Live Game Shows,” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member and DAM show Co-Host Atareh.Eth.

“Media brings attention and awareness, which brings value, Atareh.Eth wrote. “Nowhere is that more true than in the NFT space. THE DAM SHOW is a media platform the three Captains of 10KTF started in July 2022, having all met through 10KTF in September 2021. Since then, we’ve hosted a twice weekly show (a recorded episode every DAM Monday, and a live episode every DAM Thursday) totaling more than 88 videos.”

Atareh.Eth went on to say that the DAM show has had 66.7 thousand views on Twitter and 28.7 thousand views on YouTube, since its creation in July 2022.

With AIP-214, Atareh.Eth hopes to take the DAM show from its "bootstrap phase" and into a sustainable business model season.

“Think of this as supporting us as we cross the chasm,” Atareh.Eth wrote. “While we’re not a profitable rev generating enterprise yet, we will get there as we continue to create great content and build a following. The purpose of this grant is to get us over the chasm (at the very least partially), so that our reach is large enough to start generating revenue in the form of sponsorships, partnerships, ad placements and live events.”

In total, Atareh.Eth. is asking the ApeCoin DAO for $95,000 USD to fund the DAM show.

$40,000 USD will be used to purchase 12 Otherdeeds and Other Yuga Labs assets that will be given away as prizes during the DAM Show’s live games and $55,000 USD will be used to enhance the show, pay talent, among other things.

The window to vote on AIP-214 opens tonight and $Ape holders will have until next Wednesday, April 26th, to cast their coins.
