ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Wants To Add $Ape To Physical Cryptocurrency ATMs

Get your debit and credit cards ready because there is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that’s looking to add $Ape to it physical Cryptocurrency ATMs.

AIP-328 titled “Apecoin Listing on COINHERO Crypto ATMs (ApeFest Hong Kong 2023) & ATM Installation at ApeFest HQ,” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Bitcoin and Crypto ATMs company, CoinHero.

“This proposal aims to benefit the APECOIN Ecosystem by spreading its community and values to the wider community public through physical access to the token via ATM machines,” CoinHero wrote. “Where most people are used to interacting with regular bank ATM machines, our crypto ATM machines provide a familiar experience, lowering entry barriers. Additionally, providing an ATM machine at ApeFest, allows event goers to buy $APE at a convenient physical location.”

In total, CoinHero is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $24,200 USD to the company to cover the cost of listing the token on the ATMs and 10,000 $Ape that CoinHero will used to settle customer exchanges. Note, the tokens used to settle customer exchanges will be returned to the DAO once if and when $Ape is not listed on CoinHero’s ATMs.

The window to vote on AIP-328 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until next Wednesday, October 18th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
