PASSED: The ApeCoin DAO Approved Of Two AIPs That Will Be The Framework Of The DAO's Elections

On Wednesday the ApeCoin DAO approved of a pair of Ape Improvement proposals that will now be the framework for the DAO’s Special Council Nominations and Elections going forward.

The $Ape community overwhelmingly approved of AIP-137 and AIP-138 titled “The Special Council Nomination Process” and The Special Council Election Process” respectively. Both of these AIPs were written by ApeCoin DAO administration team member, BTang.

Following tonight’s results, the ApeCoin Special Council nomination process will kick off tomorrow (November 3rd ) with a “Nomination Announcement” post on the DAO’s Discourse, per AIP-137.

The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to BTang for comment on tomorrow’s nomination post but did not hear back from them before this article’s publication.

After tomorrow’s nomination announcement, the Special Council election season will begin.

As a result of AIP-137 and AIP-138 getting approved by the DAO this evening, the ApeCoin Special Council could have up to three new Council members by January 2023, according to AIP-138.
