Players Are Over Halfway Through The Forge's First Season. Here's Some Tips On How To Finish Strong!

It’s hard to believe but the first Season of Yuga Labs' HV-MTL Forge is coming to an end later this month and every HV is working to move up the daily and seasonal leaderboards to earn better Amps!

With that in mind, let’s go over some tips and tricks on how to play efficiently and forge smarter not harder!

First, let’s discuss forging efficiently for the long run.

HV-MTL Holders can Increase their energy caps by upgrading portals and Tiles as needed. One of the best strategies to leveling Tiles is to focus on Tiles that directly bridge to portals, if you have built Tiles that are not necessary, it might be a good idea to destroy them. Work on upgrading the first portal to the highest level your energy cap will allow, once you reach maximum limit, then focus on activating the second portal. Upgrade both portals to the highest you can and then work on activating the third portal. Not, the third portal will require laying 60 tiles before it can be activated!

Next, let’s discuss the “one tile tip!”

Users may want to level up one tile higher than all other tiles. A higher level allows you to be AFK (away from keyboard) and not have to worry about your HV pooping all over the Forge, as it’ll take a significant amount of time to upgrade at higher levels. Make sure this is a Tile that will absolutely not be deleted, Tiles that sit in front of portals are the best bet. Use Decorative Objects to mark the highest Tile level for easier quality of life.

Next, let’s talk portal jumps and collecting energy.

Low on energy, or just have to get some shut eye. Good news! Your HV is more likely to portal jump, if left unbothered. No upgrading, just let it chill. Portal jumping will put your HV in a better mood and it’ll collect stored energy on the way back, be aware that if your HV is left alone for too long, it’ll shit everywhere.

If all these tips, tricks, and the very idea of managing a Forge seems overwhelming to you, fear not. Laying down just ONE Tile will qualify you to earn an Amp the end of the season. Remember, HVs need three Amps to transform into their EV02 versions at the end of the HV-MTL Forge game.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, season one of the HV-MTL Forge is set to end on or around July 20th and the game's sixth season will end in November 2023.
