PROBABLY SOMETHING: Improbable And Yuga Labs Are BAYC Together And Working To Make Otherside A Reality!

The improbable was made possible today after Garga announced that Yuga Labs is working with ImprobableIO again to make Otherside a reality and that the company’s digital world will be built atop Improbable’s M Squared technology!

As 1,200 Apes and Voyagers broke through to the Otherside for Thursday's Town Hall meeting, Yuga Labs CEO Garga announced that Yuga and Improbable were BAYC together!

“The previous leadership at Yuga was focused on building a lot of Otherside’s capabilities from the ground up,” Garga said at today’s town hall. “But building everything yourself takes a long time and we didn’t want to ship on a Web2 cadence, we wanted to ship like our butts were completely on fire. So when I took over the CEO spot 2 months ago I decided to make a big change. Going forward, we are contributing everything we built, all the shit that we worked hard to do, and we are putting it on M squared. Otherside is going to live on M squared. We are buddies with IO again. We are locking arms with Improbable, and we are migrating Otherside to M squared and they are returning the favor by building out some additional capabilities for us. Honestly, we are all super stoked about it.”

Improbabale and Yuga sealed the deal with Improbable’s Co-Founders Herman Narula, Rob Whitehead, and Peter Lipka each getting Apes!

Following today’s meeting, many apes around the swamp told the paper that they were happy to see Yuga Labs building with Improbable again.

“I'm glad to see they've put aside differences and agreed that the best way forward is to build TOGETHER,” Directive Creator told the paper. “Together isn't just Yuga or Improbable, not just Apes or Koda's it's everyone! I'm excited to see it all come together, across the whole ecosystem of Web3 and to see more partnerships and creativity come to fruition.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Improbable defines its M Squared, M2, technology as “a network of interoperable metaverses to create interconnected virtual worlds and experiences for users to socialize, play games, attend concerts, create and build value over time.”

 

During an M2 lecture hosted by Improbable last summer, Narula explained how his company’s M2 tech, alongside its open-format building protocol, Metaverse Markup Language, can lead to the creation of a truly interoperable metaverse.

 

“It’s essentially like an ecosystem that lets everybody profit,” Narula said in June, 2023. “So, you can make a world like Sandbox and Decentraland, you can connect one in, you can create MML objects, and you can have them move from world to world. You can create and use experiences that have thousands of people in them at the same time. And none of these are going to be decisions that are only made my Improbable. So M2 stands apart from us and is kind of like an underlying telecoms network for the metaverse. And there will be economic incentives that will incentivize all of the large metaverses we are working with to create more interoperable.”
