PROOF OF CONCEPT:BAYC CoFounder Gordon Goner Said DooKey Dash Opens The Door To More Fun& Weird Shit
In just two days, 15,212 players have collectively doo-key dashed over 1,682,900 times in pursuit of a key lodged inside a monkey’s butthole; and this is only the beginning!
On Saturday, Bored Ape Yacht Club Co-Founder, Gordon Goner took to Twitter and said that he and the team at Yuga Labs are learning a lot from the Doo-Key Dash and that 2023 is going to be an exciting year.
“Dookey Dash and the Sewer Pass evolutions are effectively proof of concept,” Goner tweeted this afternoon. “Opens the door to so much fun and weird shit. We’re learning so much from this and it makes me so excited for the year ahead.”
Following Goner’s tweet, BAYC members went ape with excitement about what’s to come.
“For all the people in the back talking shit abt ppl buying monkey jpegs, this is what it's really about,” BAYC member Ryan Schadel tweeted. “Yuga is going to take us into the future. So yea, apes are the future. Get in or become a boomer.”
While we do not know what the BAYC have planned for the rest of 2023, the club has given Apes and Doo-Key dashers a peak at what the next few weeks entail.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Doo-Key Dash skill-based mint will be going on until February 8th. Then the BAYC will be holding a “summoning” event at the swamp on February 15th that will be open to all Sewer Pass holders.
After the summoning event, the BAYC’s MDvMM site says that the club will enter chapter one titled “the story continues.”
Chapter 1 is likely to be MD Vs MMI based on the club’s roadmap 2.0 that it released in September 2021.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, MD vs MMI will likey have something to do with Gary the Dog Prophet’s recent sketch that he made after he licked a toad.
While we do not know much about MDvsMMI or the story behind the Robotic figures that Gary drew, we do know that all of this will culminate in a Final Battle, according to Roadmap 2.0
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the BAYC and the Doo-Key Dash. Stay tuned for updates!
