Q&A: This AIP Aims To Put All Ape Media In One Place. find Out More About AIP-195

This Ape Improvement Proposal aims to bring all the media and content created across the Yugaverse into one place, making it easier to stay up to date on what's happening around the swamp!

AIP-195 titled “Forever Apes // Upgrade #6 // ApeCoin Media Collective - Connecting Communities And Creators,” is an ecosystem allocation proposal written by ForeverApes founder and recently elected Discourse Facilitator 12Gauge.

“Our community is creating some fantastic content if you can find it,” 12Gauge wrote. “This proposal presents the idea that the Forever Apes team create the ApeCoin Media Collective. An informative website for all media pertaining to the Yuga + shuttle friends ecosystems. This personalized hub will include a flexible schedule with times that allows creators to edit their show time and have it be reflected in real time.”

In total, 12Gauge and the ForeverApes team are asking for $85,000 USD to build, and market their proposed media collective. Take a look at their budget breakdown below:

In a sentence or two can you sum up what this AIP is all about?

“We're aiming to empower creators and amplify their content by giving them both a platform and a voice outside of their own. Aside from spreading the word and aggregating/enabling content, we would love to elevate production quality and reward those who are helping grow our community.”

In simple terms what is a media collective?

“A media collective is a group of community focused folks that work together to curate and uplift the content being created in the space. There is some amazing content being created around us, but it oftentimes gets lost in the scroll. We want to make it more discoverable while also giving it a home.”

Why does the community need a media collective?

The community needs this to enhance what is already being done and to help amplify current creators and members through visibility, collaboration, and sponsorships.

What does a successful media collective look like?

“A successful collective look like an entire community receiving top of the line content from a multitude of creators from all sides of the web3 space. These creators would be supported through ApeCoin payments and other sponsors to raise the value of their content/products. These creators would organically bring in more ApeCoin members via product placement and the best breakdowns and discussions of all things ApeCoin.”

Where do you see this project a year from now?

“A year from now we will be laser focused on creating direct content of the highest quality from the collective. This is a big picture, long term concept and we would ultimately aim to become both the brand and the voice of content creation for the DAO.”
