Along with the tweet, the BAYC also posted a photo of some of the prizes that apes can win.
The prizes range from Curtis plush toys and t shirts to a BAYC pinball machine and "The Mutant Mobile," AKA "a converted 2--2 Honda Accord decked out in MAYC regalia. Performance: NOT GREAT, SMELL: BAD," according to the club.
Since the announcement, several BAYC and MAYC members have commented that they will be playing the game nonstop in order to try and win these exclusive prizes.
"IT'S ON, BAYC member JBond tweeted. "Please do not disturb me next week. I'll be playing as an ape and as a mutant in the upcoming Apes vs. Mutants game. Thank you."
JBond isn't the only one ready to go all in on this game, BAYC member Topswaps.eth tweeted that he's taking off work to play."So pumped!! I took a couple days off work next week to really lock in lol."
The registration window for the game will remain open until December 4th at 11:59 p.m. EST, according to the club. "“Note that there’s no rush to register,” Gargamel previously wrote. “As long as you do so before registration closes on Saturday, you’ll be good.”
Apes and Mutants that plan to participate in the mobile game competition will need to retrieve a passcode for the game at this web address https://boredapeyachtclub.com/#/apesvsmutants
In order to get the passcode, apes and mutants will need to connect their MetaMask wallet to the site. This process is like how apes and mutants had to connect to the BAYC website for merch drops.
“Once you have your password, you’ll be able to click-through to a Shopify storefront, Gargamel wrote in the announcement. “**Once you use a passcode to enter into the Shopify storefront, you will not be able to use them to enter the site again.** Fill out your details on the Shopify site. **Most important is your email address.** For iOS users, you’ll be sent an email with a personalized link to download the game. Don’t share that link or you might end up shit out of luck. For Android users, we’ll e-mail you the link, but it’s the same for everyone.”
After apes and mutants have the game downloaded all apes have to do is wait for the game to go live on Sunday December 5th at 7 p.m. EST, according to the clubs post.
As the bored ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC previously released a 33 second teaser trailer for the BAYC MAYC mobile game competition.
The mobile game trailer began with an M2 mutant serum on the screen and then it dives straight into the gameplay.
In the first sequence, we find a bored ape fighting a siege of enemies with bananas as they try to hit him with mice. The next sequence appears to show a mutant ape battling a rather large gold fur ape who is throwing bushels of bananas at him.
As the video goes on, we see pizza apes throwing pizza pies, M3 mutants shooting lasers into the area, among other things.
The teaser concluded with a still image of three bored apes and five mutants looking ready for battle.
The mobile competition was first teased back in September as the second part of the BAYC Roadmap 2.0.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Mobile Game Competition and let you know when more information becomes available.
