SPOTLIGHT: Bored Ape Yacht Club Member IronApe's Clothing Line Goes Harder Than Steel!

After purchasing a Bored Ape that reminded him of Iron Man in February 2022, this Bored Ape Yacht Club member started his own brand that goes harder than steel!

BAYC member IronApe was drawn to the swamp last year after he learned that he could use the IP to start his own brand using the money that he’s saved up to buy his dream car.

“I like the concept that I can use commercial IP right if I have one,” IronApe told the Gazette. “A month later, I bought BAYC #5573 and started creating a brand.”

From there, he created the IronApe brand, ‘because this ape has an electronic heart and it looks like Ironman,’ and began sourcing high end materials and teaming up with high end designers to make a bored and boujee brand.

“My strategy has worked,” IronApe told the Gazette. “I brought IronApe to high-end boutiques and they gave me a space after they saw IronApe in person.”

Since then, the IronApe brand has been in some of the top department stores in Japan and South Korea and is currently available at a pop-up store in Miyashita Park Shibuya!

Along with his pop-up shop, IronApe’s clothing is also available online with items ranging from varsity jackets to baseball hats!

As his brand continues to grow, IronApe told the Gazette that the best part about creating his own bored brand is seeing people wearing his merch in real life.

“I sometimes see people wearing IronApe on the street, and I just try not to go up to them and say ‘hey this is my brand’,” he joked. “Would it be better if I went and talked to them? I don’t know!”
