SPOTLIGHT: This BAYC Member Is Reimagining His Fellow Apes In The Jimmy The Monkey Art Style!
As the Bored Ape Yacht Club prepares for the next stage of the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey, this longtime member is making sure that his fellow apes look the part!
On December 21st, 2022, the BAYC released a two-minute-long prologue video to kick off the next phase of the Yugaverse’s story.
After the video, many BAYC members noted that this short’s animation style was distinctly different than the animation style that the community has previously seen from Yuga Labs’ Otherside trailers.
Following the video’s release, BAYC member BoredOhms aped in and started making derivatives of his fellow Apes in the new Jimmy the Monkey style! “I really loved the art style they went with,” BoredOhms said. “Big mouths tint bodies and also crayon type medium.”
So far, BoredOhms has designed 97 BAYC members apes in this style, including the four founders’ primates!
“I have much love for the Bored Ape community, and I am grateful every day to be a part of this awesome group of degenerates,” BoredOhms said.
BoredOhms art has been a bored hit around the swamp with many members sharing their reimagined primates on social media.
“Got drunk for new years,” BAYC member Richy Rich tweeted. “Fished the key out Jimmy’s ass. Who’s ready to unlock the box?”
