Tennis Player Serena Williams Joined The Bored Ape Yacht Club

Game set and match, legendary tennis player Serena Williams’ has joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Earlier this morning, Williams took to Twitter to wish her followers a good morning and show them her new bored ape.

“Gm,” the tennis star tweeted along with a photo of Bored Ape #5797.

Bored Ape #5797 is a four-trait pink fur ape with sad eyes and a bored mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #5797 is the 455th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

Williams’ husband, BAYC member Alexis Ohanian, purchased the pink fur primate 16 days ago for 117 Eth and transferred it to his wife shortly after.

After Williams tweeted a photo of her bored ape today, her husband joked with her about only gifting her NFTs from now on. “First I get you the SerenaPunk, now I get the pink ape you wanted… you realize I'm only gifting you NFTs from now on right,” Ohanian tweeted.

Williams is considered the greatest Tennis player in history, winning 23 grand slam titles; the most in the Open Era, according to Wikipedia.
