The Ape Assembly Is Holding Its Third Meeting Tomorrow To Go Over Its Possible Governance Structures
The Ape Assembly is holding its third meeting tomorrow afternoon as the group works to establish its governance structure.
On Wednesday, July 12th at 1 P.M. Est, the Ape Assembly will convene in the Apecoin DAO’s Discord sever to talk about the group’s governance structure options after some members asked the Governance Working Group Stewards for more information on the choices.
“The Ape Assembly called for a meeting to review the options proposed for ‘Assembly structure,’” Governance Working Group Steward TigerIsFine told the Gazette.” During Wednesday’s meeting, we’ll further clarify what these options mean, present guidelines on how the Governance WG envision the Assembly to function, and invite members to gain more information and help decide on the direction. Assembly members are encouraged to fill out the submission form linked in the Assembly announcements so we can manage more effective dialogue during the meeting.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported the group was asked to vote for a possible governance structure following last week’s meeting.
“What do you want the Ape Assembly structure to look like,” the Working Group Stewards proposed to the Assembly. “A. Committees, B. One elected Representative, C. Three elected Representatives, or D. Task the Governance Working Group to manage the Ape Assembly budget and multisig+ facilitate Working Group Elections.”
During tomorrow’s meeting, the Working Group Stewards will review these four options with the Assembly at large.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Ape Assembly is a governing body of highly active governance participants within the ApeCoin Ecosystem that was established as part of AIP 239 and controls a monthly budget of $10,000 USD.
To join the Ape Assembly, ApeCoin DAO contributors must have either have a Discourse Trust Level 2+ , own 50,000+ $Ape, or have voted in at least 50% of proposal votes, according to AIP-239.
