The Bored Ape Yacht Club Community Is Feeling'Bored& Worthless' After A Recent Rolling Stone Report
Bored Ape Yacht Club members are taking to social media and informing their followers that they are feeling ‘Bored and Worthless’ after a recent Rolling Stones article declared that the vast majority of non-fungible tokens have no value.
Earlier this week, the Rolling Stone released an article that informed Bored Ape Yacht Club members and NFT holders at large that their J-Pegs ‘Are Actually—finally—totally Worthless’.
Following the article’s publication, BAYC member DadsWheels took to Twitter and shared an image of his pimp coat wearing Bored Ape, with the caption, “ bored and worthless.”
Dadwheels’ post resonated with many BAYC members, and his tweet quickly became the latest copypasta trend around the swamp!
After many Apes copied his post, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Dadswheels and asked why he’s feeling ‘bored and worthless.’
“I posted it as an answer to the Rolling Stone article,” he said. “In crypto, we’re no strangers to the mainstream telling us our coins are worthless, so why not own it? We can all laugh about being worthless together, until we’re laughing at Rolling Stone when all of a sudden they are posting articles about how we’re on top. My favorite thing about BAYC is that underneath all the money, it has a Punk ethos in my opinion, and as long as it doesn’t lose that I’m happy being Bored and Worthless.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this bored and worthless community and will keep you posted on all things happening across the Yugaverse! Stay tuned for updates!
