Its Summoning Season at the Bored Ape Yacht Club as DooKey Dashers get together with Gary the Dog Prophet to “bring an incredible power source from another dimension into our world.”
After two tours of dooty in the sewers underneath the BAYC, DooKey Dashers finally got the chance to summon their power sources.
“The Summoning has begun,” the BAYC tweeted this evening. “ Eligible Sewer Pass holders can now head to http://mdvmm.xyz/summoning to burn their pass and summon a Power Source. First, there’s no rush to mint your Power Source; the Summoning will be open indefinitely. There are eight types of Sources. The nature of yours is determined by your rank in Dookey Dash.”

Shortly after the summoning started, the BAYC said that it’s reviewing an error regarding power sources showing, and not showing, the correct companion information.
“We're investigating an issue regarding Companion traits not showing up correctly on HV-MTL Power Sources, the club tweeted. “The trait has been removed from the collection for now and we will push a metadata update when this is resolved.”
Further, the BAYC explained that the company will be claiming all the power sources from the 4,000+ unclaimed and the ineligible Sewer Passes.
“Approximately 3500 Sewer Passes were never claimed, and 789 were claimed but are ineligible for the Summoning. But the cosmic war that looms in the distance will require as many mechs as we can get. These remaining, bottom-ranked, Power Sources will be minted and held by a Yuga wallet until the next minigame is ready to launch. Details on how to obtain these Power Sources will be shared at a later date. For now, it’s time to get to know your Power Source.”
After Dashers began to summon their power sources, Gary the Dawg Prophet took to the club’s Discord and clarified that Sewer Pass tiers were only for the DooKey Dash and that they will not be used going forward.
“Sewer Pass tiers were only used for DooKey Dash,” Gary The Dawg Prophet wrote. “Sewer Pass Tiers will not be represented in the metadta of your Power Source, which means. They no longer have a use. However, your collection of BAYC, MAYC, BAKC, and Hv-MTL will be important in a similar way We Will release more info before the Journey to EVO 2 begins.”
The Journey to EVO 2 is currently slated to begin sometime in May, according to the BAYC’s MDVMM website.
