The MLB's Virtual Ballpark That's Built By Improbable Is Opening Tonight. Here's How To Attend

Like in the classic movie Field of Dreams, 'If you build it, they will come,' Improbable and Major League Baseball are launching their all-new metaverse ballpark tonight, and voyagers and metaverse enthusiasts are invited to virtually enjoy America’s pastime!

Tonight at 9:30 P.M. EST, the MLB and Improbable, the company working to build the interoperable metaverse that includes Yuga Labs’ Otherside, will be hosting an All-Star Celebrity Softball Game Watch Party from the MLB’s Virtual Ballpark!

“The #MLB virtual ballpark will allow fans to gather and interact simultaneously in a single place, making it the 1st service to host such large interactive sports experiences,” Improbable tweeted earlier this week. “The MLB virtual ballpark is powered by @Improbableio 's Morpheus technology and developed within the @MSquared_io network, enabling the oldest sports league to experiment with formats and new content, fostering closer connections between players and fans.”

The roster for tonight’s game includes notable names and celebrities such as JoJo Siwa, Donovan Mitchell, Chloe Kim, Joel McHale, among others.

“As we continue to enhance and prioritize the MLB fan experience through innovative technologies, this new virtual ballpark will become a great testing ground for the league and our fans worldwide,” MLB Executive Vice President and Bored Ape Yacht Club member Kenny Gersh said in a press release.
