The Simpsons Is Taking On Bored Apes, CryptoPunks,&Other NFTs During This Year's Treehouse Of Horror

The Simpsons' annual Treehouse of Horror episode is going to be scary and relevant to Bored Ape Yacht Club members and Web3 enthusiasts as the quintessential American family faces off against non-fungible tokens!

The Simpsons have been a staple of American pop culture for 35 years, and their annual Halloween episodes dubbed the Treehouse of Horror, have satirized everything from The Shining and Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven to the internet, Y2K, artificial intelligence, and now NFTs!

During this year’s comic con in San Diego, the Simpsons’ booth gave away posters for the show's Treehouse of Horror XXXIV episode that featured Marge Simpson in a fierce battle against notable NFT collections like Bored Apes and CryptoPunks!

At this time, it is unknown how the Simpsons will satirize the NFT market but many in the Web3 world believe it’ll be great for the ecosystem.

“I love seeing Web3 brands on @TheSimpsons poster,” BAYC member and Co-Founder of the Dgen Network, NFTBark tweeted. “When I worked at Fortune 500s, it was considered a win when @jimmyfallon or SNL had fun at your expense. It's part of being in the zeitgeist. Specific NFT brands being culturally relevant enough to be in The Simpsons is big.”

The Simpson’s 35th season premiere is scheduled for Sunday October 1st, but we do not know when the Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror episode will air.
