These BAYC Members Are Celebrating The 2 Year Anniversary Of The 1st Ever Ape Meetup On 7-27

These Bored Ape Yacht Club members are getting ‘back to BAYC-ICS’ as they plan to host an event in Los Angeles later this month, two years after they hosted the world’s first ever unofficial Bored Ape meet up!

On July 21, 2021, just two and a half months after the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s mint, 50 BAYC members and their friends came together at Bright Moments NFT Gallery and Townhouse Bar in Venice, California to hang out and get to know their fellow primates. “It was a diverse group, and every ape I met was doing something interesting,” Event coordinator and host Josh Ong told the Bored Ape Gazette at the time. “From derivative projects to documentary films and songwriting.”

Now, two years later, Ong, along with his co-hosts Swickie and Peter Fang are returning to their roots and throwing another bored banger in the city of angels.

“BACK TO BAYC-ICS , Ong tweeted this morning along with a short teaser trailer for their upcoming event. “BANANAVERSARY! It’s been 2 years since the first BAYC meetup in Venice. Come celebrate with us on Thurs 7/27 in Los Angeles. Community-led, 21+ & casual.”

At this time, we do not know much about the event. But based on the first one, it will be anything but boring!

“I’m ready for the family reunion,” BAYC member Zech tweeted along with a group photo from the 2021 meetup.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Back to BAYC-ICS Bananaversay event and will let you know how to RSVP when more information is announced. Stay tuned for updates!
