Bored Ape Yacht Club collectors and brothers James and Andy Booth, both purchased trippy fur bored apes today, according to each of their social media pages.
Andy, whose known on Twitter as @360, purchased Bored Ape #9696 for 160 Eth or $656,000 USD , according to boredapebot. Bored Ape #9696 is a six trait trippy fur ape rocking a guaybera shirt and party hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #9696 is the 935th most rate ape, according to Rarity Tools.

“Well @BoredApeYC... I am finally back,” Andy tweeted. “I have abandoned my love of the simple apes and gone for the opposite extreme, a Trippy party animal, a reminder that life CAN be a blast and that there's a ton of exciting things on the way. Sometimes you need a nudge.”
After Andy’s purchase, James congratulated his brother on his new trippy ape. “Welcome back to my brother @360 with a sick Trippy! @BoredApeYC.”
Andy’s purchase seemed to prompt a bit of fomo in his brother, and not to be out done, James traded for his own new trippy fur bored ape hours later.
James traded 56 Eth or $229,600 USD, Bored Ape #8465 and Gutter Cat #1943 for Bored Ape #5979, according to Boredapebot.
