This Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Bought A Gucci Shirt For 156 $Ape.

After Gucci announced that the brand was now accepting $Ape as a payment option, Bored Ape Yacht Club member BRYTE.Eth went straight the high-end fashion house's website and started browsing for something to buy.

“I never had any anticipation of owning Gucci, but I want these kinds of things to continue for adoptions sake,” BRYTE told the Bored Ape Gazette. “So I figured the best way is to participate!”

As BRYTE looked through the online store, he noticed that the company sold the shirts that were used in the 10KTF Gucci Grails collection.

“Unfortunately, they didn’t have the yellow shirt in the store, which matches the Gucci Grail I have," BRYTE told the Gazette. "But I went with the blue one which I like better and just photoshopped the blue shirt onto mine.”

BRYTE tweeted after his purchase that the process to use BitPay was smooth, but it took him two hours because he was unfamiliar with the system. “But once I figured it out it wasn’t hard at all,” he said.

In total, BRYTE spent 156.815834 $Ape or $1060.85 USD on the shirt.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to report on other BAYC members experiences using $Ape at Gucci. Stay tuned for more coverage!
