This Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Purchased An NFT From An Honorable Yuga Labs Collection

This longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member will be celebrating with a good smoke this evening after he and his wife aped into a rarely talked about Yuga Labs collection.

BAYC member PipeHitter.Eth purchased Honorary Ape #7 for 20 Eth or $38,000 USD on Sunday.

“OMG,” PipeHitter tweeted after his purchase. “Welcoming @BoredApeYC Honorary BAYC #7 - Alchemist Ape. This is a 1/1 piece from the official collection of 35. A lot of people new to the club may not even know about these yet. Wanted one like forever. TY!”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC Honorary Members collection is made up for 35 primates that were made for 35 crypto personalities who helped bring awareness to the club during the BAYC’s presale in April 2021.

“Honorary Membership was given to people who helped bring awareness to the BAYC project during its pre-sale phrase,” the collections’ about section states. “These apes are not a part of the 10k Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, and do not have member privileges.”

Following his purchase, PipeHitter.Eth told the Gazette that he and his wife were very happy with their honorary acquisition.

"My wife and I are so excited about adding Honorary Bored Ape #7 (Alchemist Ape) to our collection," he said. "It is a truly unique 1/1 ape, and grail piece of Yuga art. We’ve wanted an honorary for a very long time, but with a mere 35 pieces in the collection, it took a while to make it happen. Tonight we celebrate!”
