TOMORROW IT IS: Adidas' ALTs by Adidas NFTs Are Set To Reveal This Tuesday!

The ALTs by Adidas are about to make their official appearance around the swamp and Web3 world!

Things will be anything but boring in the expanded Yugaverse tomorrow as Adidas' highly anticipated NFT project, ALTs by Adidas, officially comes to life!

“Yes you read it right, tomorrow it is,” Adidas tweeted along with a video that featured the brand’s Bored Ape mascot, Indigo Herz’s iconic glasses and hat. “Get ready ALTS! “

 

Tomorrow’s reveal comes at a pivotal time for corporate-backed NFTs. Nike recently shut down its RTFKT project, leading many to wonder if Adidas would follow suit. While everyone is excited to see what their ALTs look like tomorrow, many in the Web3 space are wondering about Adidas’ long-term plans.

“With  @RTFKT shutting down their project (They started so well) and  @Nike's reputation absolutely smashed within the entire web3 ecosystem (it's hard to really describe how much that damaged their reputation), can @adidas take the high ground and PR win, by finding ways to really reward and enthrall their holders over time,” ALT Holder and Pudgy Penguin Toms Metaverse tweeted. Or will it be another corporate extraction-fest? Fingers crossed for a huge @adidas win.”

At this time, we do not know all the details about tomorrow’s reveal or the art itself. However, Adidas' Global Head of Product, Big_Fish, has previously referred to the ALTs as Humanlite. Big_Fish also shared that holders would receive a 2D version of their ALT to use as a Twitter PFP and a 3D version usable in digital worlds, during a Space in July 2023.

 

As The Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Adidas began its Web3 journey in November 2021 with collaborations with BAYC, Punks Comic, and G-Money. Buyers received physical merchandise inspired by these collections along with an NFT that would eventually become ALTs by Adidas.
