Bored Ape Yacht Club member HugoSu made a trippy trade this morning that landed him a trippy fur bored ape.

HugoSu purchased Bored Ape #9696 for 220 Eth or $264,000 USD from notable BAYC collector and ape trader Andy Booth this morning. “Just got my new trippy @BoredApeYCfor 220 eth in bear market,” HugoSu tweeted. “Thx @360 for the trade!!!”

Bored Ape #9696 is a six-trait trippy fur primate with a party hat and guayabera shirt. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #9696 is the 935th most rare primate, according to Rarity Tools.

After the trade, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to HugoSu and asked him why he chose to make a big move during an economic downturn. “I think BAYC will be fine because a lot of people I know are waiting to snipe right now,” he said.

After HugoSu purchased Bored Ape #9696, the notable BAYC collector added the trippy fur primate to his impressive Twitter banner.

In total, HugoSu now holds 12 Bored Apes, according to his Twitter Bio.

As HugoSu added Bored Ape #9696 to his NFT collection, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Booth and asked what’s next not only for the legendary BAYC trader but also his NFT Project Paradise Trippies.

“I agreed to sell him to Hugo because he was flexible about the terms,” Booth said. “He had no objection to ongoing image rights used for the Trippies and knows he’s going to soon “evolve”. It was for this reason I felt it was the right deal. Meanwhile I will take a step back from the NFT market as an investor and wait for the right opportunities during a bear market.”
