TWELVEFOLD TUESDAY: Yuga Labs Announced Its Puzzle Series On BTC& Everyone Can Participate
Twelvefold Tuesday is now a thing in the Yugaverse after Yuga Labs announced 13 weeks of Twelvefold-inspired puzzles with 0.12 Bitcoin up for grabs each week for 12 weeks and a Twelvefold NFT for the final week, awarded to the first user who solves each week’s blockchain brain teaser!
The Web3 community got its first look at a Yuga Labs’ TwevleFold inspired puzzles this morning after the company revealed its first puzzle along with its plans to let everyone participate in the Bitcoin based game over the next 13 weeks, beginning today and ending on November 28, 2023!
“In February we launched TwelveFold, 300 unique generative art pieces on the Bitcoin blockchain,” Yuga Labs tweeted. “Today, we launch a cipher puzzle series inspired by the art, at https://twelvefold.io/puzzle. Yes, there are prizes…and you currently don’t need to own a TwelveFold to participate.”
To partake in Yuga Labs’ puzzle games and possibly win .12 BTC or a TwelveFold Ordinal piece, the entire web3 space is invited to create a Bitcoin Ordinals wallet and submit their answers each Tuesday to Gamma.io.
“The first correct answer that gets inscribed is the puzzle winner,” Yuga Labs tweeted. “There can only be 1 winner per puzzle. If two people submit the right answer in the same Bitcoin block, we’ll accept the answer with the lower inscription number. Winners will be notified by email.”
Take a look at today’s first puzzle below:
For those who are unfamiliar with the TwelveFold project, it is Yuga Labs' first generative art collection, comprised of 300 pieces on the Bitcoin blockchain, that launched on March 6th, 2023. In total, Yuga Labs sold 288 pieces for 735 BTC or $16.5 million USD.
“TwelveFold is a base 12 art system localized around a 12x12 grid,”Yuga Labs’ Chief Creative Officer Michael Figge tweeted on March 5th. “The collection of 300 inscriptions is made up of 25 different series of 12, each with their own motif. Each series maintains a theme spread across 12 unique pieces. Like crypto, the collection isn't so much linear but cyclical, with four different color palettes progressing throughout: winter, spring, summer, autumn. It's a nod to being optimistic whether we're in a Crypto Winter or a Defi Summer. Every TwelveFold piece will be inscribed onto a satoshi with a satpoint ending in the number 12, and the ‘postage’ associated with each inscription will be 12121.”
