VIVA LA PUNK: Yuga Labs Announced That Its Donating CryptoPunk #110 To The Centre Pompidou

Viva La Punk! Yuga Labs announced that It is sending CryptoPunk #110 to the City of Light as part of the Company’s Punks Legacy Program.





On Friday, Yuga Labs took to Twitter and announced that it was donating CryptoPunk #110 to the Centre Pimpidou in Paris France!


“As part of the ongoing Punks Legacy Project, we are honored to announce the donation of CryptoPunk #110 to the legendary permanent collection of @CentrePompidou,” Yuga Labs tweeted. “Stay tuned for more details... See you in Paris!”




CryptoPunk #110 is a four-attribute dark female type punk with a dark mohawk, purple lipstick, an earring, and a cigarette. Based on these traits, CryptoPunk #110 is the 7779th most punk CryptoPunk, according to Rarity Tools.


Following Yuga Labs’ announcement, the Centre Pompidou took to Twitter and announced that it had acquired a set of works that deal with the relationship between blockchain and art.


After the Centre Pompidou’s post, Sotheby’s Head of Digital Art and NFTs & Contemporary Art Specialist,Michael Bouhanna, tweeted that museums’ embrace of NFTs today is setting the trends of tomorrow!


“The world of art and museums is evolving,” Bouhanna tweeted. “NFTs have finally arrived, and it was only a matter of time before they found their way into museum collections. Leading museums have always been at the forefront, setting the trend for tomorrow's taste.”


The Centre Pompidou first opened in 1977 and has been visited over 180 million times since its inception, according to the Center’s Wikipedia page.


At the time of this article’s publication, it has not been announced when CryptoPunk #110 will make her debut at the Centre Pompidou.
