Yuga Labs Announced Its New Bitcoin Blockchain Project Dubbed "TwelveFold." Here's What We Know:

Yuga Labs is working “twelvefold” after the company announced that its launching a new generative art project on the Bitcoin blockchain because “ fuck doing expected things.”

On Monday, Yuga Labs took to Twitter and announced that its latest venture will be a generative art project on the Bitcoin blockchain.

“Introducing Twelvefold,” Yuga Labs tweeted this evening. “A limited-edition collection of 300 generative pieces, inscribed on Satoshis on the Bitcoin blockchain.”

During the Twelvefold announcement, Yuga Labs’ Co-Founder Garga gave the community more information project on the inspiration behind it. Further, Garga also tapped into the Ethos of the Bored Ape Yacht Club and said that the company is making Twelvefold because, “fuck doing expected things.”

“When measuring time, the calculation base used is not uniform and varies from base 60 (60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour) to base 12 (12 months in a year) and so on," Garga wrote. "Twelvefold is a base 12 art system localized around a 12x12 grid, a visual allegory for the cartography of data on the Bitcoin blockchain. The collection includes highly-rendered 3D elements as well as hand-drawn features which serve as an homage to the ordinal inscriptions currently done by hand. All of these choices are a departure from what’s expected from Yuga. But, you know. Fuck doing expected things.”
