Yuga Labs' CEO Said That there's A lot In Store For The Meebits Community!

After Yuga Labs 'turned on' the Meebits collection in November 2022 with the debut of a new website and MB1 roadmap, the company’s CEO teased that there’s a lot to look forward to for the voxel collection.

On Wednesday, Yuga Labs CEO Daniel Alegre made his Web3 media debut on Rug Radio with Farokh and told the popular host that he loves the Meebits and that Yuga Labs is moving and grooving towards launching some awesome things for this amazing community.

“What I like about meetbits is it has broad appeal,” Alegre said. “There’s a lot that we can and that we have planned for meebits. I think the meebtis community will not be disappointed come the next few months. We aren’t abandoning meebits, if anything we are doubling down.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs acquired the Meebits collection from Larva Labs on March 11, 2022 and kicked off its Meebits “MB1” roadmap in November 2022 with a free physical poster claim for all holders.

“MB1 represents a beginning; the first chapter of this story,” Meebits Brand Lead DannyGreene.Eth wrote in blog post on November 22nd, 2022. “As the Meebits go adventuring, this evolving site will be your access to every experience along the way. There will be nine releases to MB1, and this new site will be a launchpad for each new experience, activation, or opportunity. For now, come play with one of your Meebits (or one of ours) and make them dance, float, or just “Meeb out” to some AI music powered by wrapsound’s digital boombox. Feels good to stretch those arms… and especially those legs.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Meebits MB1 roadmap and will let you know what’s next for the voxel community. Stay tuned for updates!
