Yuga Labs Chief Gaming Officer Tweeted That The Otherside Second This Weekend Will Be "Amazing"
As Voyagers get ready to break on through to the Otherside later this week, a Yuga Labs’ official tweeted that the second trip will be “amazing.”
On Monday, Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer, Spencer Tucker, took to Twitter and briefly teased this week’s second trip to the Otherside.
“GDC (Gaming Developers Conference) time again, and oh boy what a time to be in gaming and Web3,” Tucker wrote. “Lots happening and with second trip on the horizon, some real treats in store.”
Tucker followed up this tweet by telling Bored Ape Yacht Club members that they’re not going to want to miss the second trip.
“It’s definitely not to miss, it’s going to be amazing, team has worked super hard to make it EPIC,” Tucker tweeted.
As the Bored Ape Gazette preoviulsy reported, the second trip to the Otherside is scheduled for Saturday, march 25th.
“2nd Trip will bring Voyagers into Otherside for an interactive gaming experience led by our first ever Otherside Team Captains,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account on March 8th. “Details on Team Captains will be shared at a later date. Otherdeed holders will also have the opportunity to invite a guest into 2nd Trip. Otherdeed holders will have priority access. Guest passes are not guaranteed entry. We are also expanding the playable region list from First Trip, allowing more Voyagers from around the globe to participate in the event. Everybody is invited to watch along on our official livestream.”
While we do not know what time the second trip will take place on Saturday, we do know that it will be anything but boring.
“There will be new environments, new mechanics, and an even higher concurrency of users than what we all experienced in First Trip,” Yuga Labs wrote in a press release on December 22nd, 2022. “Second Trip will be a huge step for Otherside and will be more gamified and high energy. The introduction of these new spaces and mechanics will make for a far richer experience and enable the space to open much more frequently. Customizable avatars will not be ready yet for Second Trip, but there’s a fun solution for those who want to enter with an NFT. Stay tuned for details on that. Also, there might be flying. Just because.”
